The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened with great fanfare at the Guangzhou Pazhou Complex on October 15th. This year's Canton Fair boasted an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, 74,600 booths, and over 32,000 exhibitors, all record highs.
A longtime participant of the Canton Fair, SMZ showcased several new products. Its built-in induction hobs, built-in ceramic hobs, and high-end PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) solutions were the center of attention at the fair, attracting significant attention from OEM/ODM partners and international buyers.
1.Unprecedented Exhibition Scale
The Canton Fair has always been a barometer for observing China's foreign trade. This year's Canton Fair was held in three phases, from October 15th to November 4th.
The offline exhibition area reached 1.55 million square meters, with a total of 74,600 booths and over 32,000 participating companies, all of which set new historical records.
Approximately 3,600 companies made their debut, demonstrating the new momentum of China's foreign trade.
For the first time, the number of high-quality companies with titles such as high-tech, specialized, and innovative, and single-category champions exceeded 10,000, accounting for 34% of the total number of export exhibitors.
Zhu Yong, Director of the China Foreign Trade Center, stated that as of October 9th, 207,000 buyers from 217 export markets had completed pre-registration, a 14.1% increase from the previous month.
2.SMZ New Product Highlights
In the Home Appliances exhibition area of the Canton Fair Phase I, the SMZ booth was bustling with visitors.
Our newly launched *Built-in Induction Hobs* utilize intelligent temperature control technology, enabling precise control of heating temperatures and addressing the significant temperature fluctuations associated with traditional induction cooktops.
Our built-in ceramic hobs, also on display, attracted significant attention from European buyers with their fast response and uniform heating.
A representative from SMZ explained to reporters, "All of our products on display utilize our own independently designed PCBA control modules. This not only improves product performance and stability but also provides flexible customization options for OEM customers."
The representative added that for ODM customers, SMZ offers one-stop services from product design to production, meeting the personalized needs of diverse markets.
3.Enthusiastic Buyer Response
Hans Schmidt, a buyer from Germany, stated, "SMZ's built-in kitchen appliances meet European market standards in terms of energy efficiency and design, and we have reached a preliminary agreement on a partnership."
"In particular, the compatibility of their PCBA modules allows us to quickly adapt to different markets."
Several purchasing companies have held in-depth discussions with SMZ, expressing their hope for long-term supplier relationships.
A leading importer from a Belt and Road Initiative country stated that the price-performance and reliability of SMZ products align with their market positioning, and that they plan to place a trial order during the fair.
Organizers have brought in 240 institutions, providing full-chain trade service providers, including finance and insurance, logistics and warehousing, quality inspection technology, and design, to better support companies in expanding their markets and securing orders.
At the Canton Fair, the SMZ booth was crowded with overseas buyers seeking business. A senior supply chain manager from Italy carefully inspected the SMZ product's **PCBA** module and confirmed sample testing arrangements with our representatives on the spot.
Faced with numerous OEM cooperation inquiries, SMZ's Overseas Marketing Director stated, "At this Canton Fair, we clearly felt that the international market demand for smart kitchen appliances is shifting towards high-end and customized products."
He also revealed that the company has received ODM cooperation inquiries from several EU brands. As the first phase of the Canton Fair continues, the SMZ team has filled the next five days with negotiation schedules with international buyers.
